I have not yet purchased a time share but just willing to have a time share in Florida. It is the best place to have a time share vacations and enjoy so many luxuries and attractions of Florida. The Disney world is the biggest attraction to see and enjoy.

We have purchased a one bedroom timeshare in Las Vegas. We really do not want to travel there. It is through RCI and includes 2 additional weeks. We are not quite sure how everything works yet as we are awaiting all of the paperwork. Hopefully we have done the right thing and there will be great vacations in the future!

timeshares are good if you buy them for the right reason. Meaning, because you either love your homebase and want to go back often. Or because all you want is echange. Now dont keep very high expectations about RCI. IT works but you have to be patient and very flexible with your requests.

when depositing your weeks or points, RCI first rule is: all is subject to availability, which means that there has to be enough weeks deposited in their “spacebank” that will match your request.
they take in consideration 5 aspects: Demand of your homebase and/or Demand of your region. Size of unit. Season. Time in advance for deposit. And comment cards rating

I’ve found that the best way to look at exchanging is think of it like travel agencies – if they’ve sold all their space for a particular holiday you have to pick another, that’s life. Exchanging is kinda the same, if there is space available you can swap your timeshare for another, if there’s not space available at your first choice then you’ve simply got to pick another.

The rest depends on what you bought, where etc as @mayanjc says and that is designed to be fair to all members on a like for like basis – I guess this is the same as the old saying “you get what you pay for”, a better timeshare may well deliver better opportunities than another.

I am happily in my third year of ownership, and all in all love the concept.
