When you imagine your ultimate dream vacation, what would it be?

Maybe you’d enjoy a lazy day on a white, sandy beach, watching the waves lapping at the shoreline. Maybe a round of golf on a world-class course surrounded by tropical scenery is more to your liking. Perhaps you’d prefer to spend the day shopping at upscale boutiques, then enjoying a relaxing massage at a luxurious health spa in the afternoon. And who wouldn’t choose to dine at a gourmet restaurant in the evening, savoring a delicious meal and watching the sun set on the horizon?

With over 35 years of experience as developers of luxury hotels, resorts and golf courses, Grupo Vidanta understands what appeals to resort vacationers. Situated in highly desirable waterfront locations throughout Mexico, Grupo Vidanta resorts offer guests virtually every conceivable amenity to make them feel catered to, relaxed and pampered.

The scenery
Grupo Vidanta’s resorts are located in some of the most beautiful beachfront locations in Mexico. Expect blue skies, sunny days, warm ocean breezes, palm trees and other tropical vegetation, and water, plenty of water—whether it’s the Pacific Ocean or the Gulf of Mexico, each resort offers guests spectacular, unsurpassed scenery.

The accommodations
Grupo Vidanta’s resorts pride themselves on luxurious accommodations. Rooms are large and elegantly decorated. Expansive verandas allow guests the opportunity to dine outside in the privacy of their own terrace, or just to lounge over evening cocktails or coffee in the morning. Most rooms overlook the Pacific Ocean or the Gulf of Mexico. Some larger suites are equipped with kitchens. All accommodations are spacious and beautiful, and some even come with a butler!

The restaurants
Fine gourmet dining is the norm at Grupo Vidanta resorts. Whether it’s traditional Mexican fare, a casual buffet, fresh seafood, or whatever delicacy you’re in the mood for, you’re sure to find it at any one of the top-notch eateries located in each of the resorts.

The golf courses
Grupo Vidanta is, among other things, a golf course developer. This means you can be certain that each resort is either adjacent to or close by a world-class golf course. Most courses are Nicklaus-design. If a day on the links is your idea of the perfect vacation day, you’ve chosen the right resort!

The water sports
From the Pacific Ocean or the Gulf of Mexico to any of the many beautiful pools that grace each Grupo Vidanta resort, water and all the fun activities that go along with it are never far away. Whatever your preference may be whether it’s sailing, deep-sea fishing, surfing, snorkeling in crystal blue water, or just relaxing by the pool—you’ll find it all close by.

The health spas
What could be more relaxing on your vacation than a visit to a health spa? Feel like a yoga class or spinning session? Or maybe you just want to be sure to work off some of those extra vacation calories. Grupo Vidanta resorts offer their guests beautifully appointed health spas and fitness clubs for guests to enjoy.

The excursions
Once you venture outside the resort, there’s so much to see! From adventure theme parks to local trips to town to Mayan ruins, hotel staff can assist you in arranging your excursions and make sure that you get the best price possible.

The shopping
Many Grupo Vidanta resorts include upscale, specialty boutiques that provide guests with plenty of shopping opportunities. But there are also opportunities outside the resort facilities. Each resort is located within a short distance of some of the best-known Mexican resort cities, and the shopping possibilities in each of these areas are nearly endless. You’ll find everything from mementos from your trip to one-of-a-kind pieces created by local artisans.

The culture
The staff at Grupo Vidanta wants you to experience Mexico at its finest. And what better way to do that than with traditional Mexican entertainment? Many areas offer museums and other cultural venues that will expose you to the music, art, tradition and rich history of Mexico. [member]

The special events
Are you planning a vacation around a special event like a wedding or anniversary? Resort staff can help plan every detail of your celebration. They even have a group that specializes in them—Vidanta Weddings.

The Kids Club
Grupo Vidanta resorts aren’t just for adults. In fact, these properties welcome and encourage families to spend their vacations with them. Many of the resorts offer what they call “Kids Clubs.” Staff members plan fun-filled days for the kids, with creative activities designed especially for the younger set.

The stunning locations of the resorts, each on prime beachfront property, only add to the ambience of these luxurious properties. Whether your taste runs more towards a view from the Pacific Coast, the Carribean and the Yucatan Peninsula (also referred to as Riviera Maya), or something a little closer to home like the Gulf of California, you’re sure to find a Grupo Vidanta resort nearby.

Grupo Vidanta vacation properties fall under several different brands:

The Grand Mayan – Located in Nuevo Vallarta, Riviera Maya, Los Cabos and Acapulco (www.thegrandmayan.com)

Mayan Palace – Located in Nuevo Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Maya, La Jolla de Cortés and Mazatlán (www.mayanpalace.com)

Grand Luxxe – Located in Nuevo Vallarta and Riviera Maya (www.grandluxxe.com)

The Sea Garden – Located in Acapulco, Nuevo Vallarta and Mazatlán (www.seagarden.com)

It’s hard to find more luxurious accommodations, each located in an exotic Mexican location. The Grupo Vidanta resorts advertise themselves as “a world apart,” and once you investigate them for yourself, you’ll see why. You might also call them “a world of their own,” because each resort offers so many amenities and activities for their guests that they could easily spend their entire vacation without ever stepping foot outside the resort and still have a thoroughly enjoyable, relaxing, memorable getaway. And they truly are family-oriented. In fact, they emphasize that time and time again in their websites and promotional material.

Whether you’re looking for a romantic trip for two or a fun-filled vacation for the whole family, Grupo Vidanta resorts has something for everyone.

Grupo Vidanta is committed to maintaining the magnificent natural environment that surrounds each one of its world-class resort properties. The company was honored to receive EarthCheck Certification, a recognition of its efforts to help preserve the environment. Another indication of the company’s dedication along these lines is its sponsorship of the Sea Turtle Conservancy and their Tour de Turtles, a sea turtle conservation event that takes place in Riviera Maya. In June, during the nesting season of the sea turtle, a marine biologist from the Conservancy will attach a tracking device to a mature turtle. That turtle will then be tracked over the course of the following three months, during the migration from their nesting beaches to their foraging grounds. The Conservancy will follow the same procedure for 15 species of sea turtles in an effort to better understand the movements of this endangered species. Guests of Grupo Vidanta resorts located in Riviera Maya are invited to witness this event, which helps to advance the efforts of the Sea Turtle Conservancy.

Recipe for Success:
Happy Employees
Many companies advocate happy employees to drive superior customer service. Putting it into practice is another matter. Permeating a company’s culture with a “customer first” mindset can be easier said than done, but the ones that do clearly see a benefit. In the 2012 Best Places to Work(R) in Mexico rankings, some of the top resort properties made the list including Grupo Vidanta, Grupo Vidanta’s resorts, JW Marriott Hotel Mexico City, Four Seasons Hotel and RCI Mexico. Grupo Vidanta ranked ahead of all resort companies.

In the August 2011 issue of WorldLink, the magazine of the World Federation of People Management Associations, Grupo Vidanta and its innovative employee development programs were features. These included ensuring pay was set 10% above market rates, wellness programs, scholarships, non-monetary recognition awards and perks such as free cafeteria services as well as free bus routes to and from the resort. It’s no wonder that guests consistently rank its resort customer service as second to none. The Grupo Vidanta website sums up their philosophy: “Our people are happy and that is our greatest asset. The passion they display every day to deliver the essence of happiness to every guest is an amazing thing for a guest to experience and a hallmark of a Vidanta vacation.” [/member]
