El Cid Resorts and El Cid Vacations Club are known for providing guests and members with luxurious accommodations in Mazatlán, Riviera Maya, and Cozumel, but when tragedy struck Mexico City last month in the form of a 7.1 magnitude earthquake, El Cid Vacations Club opened the doors to all of its resorts in Mazatlán for International Cruise & Excursions (ICE) employees who were displaced because of the devastating earthquake.
ICE, which was established over 20 years ago, has a long history and partnership with El Cid Vacations Club. Both companies work directly together in order to provide their clients with the best opportunities possible to experience the natural beauty of Mexico. Although based in Scottsdale, Arizona, ICE maintains offices throughout the world, including a large hub in Mexico City. Luckily, all ICE employees were able to make it out of the Torre Mexicana; one of Mexico City’s most recognizable buildings, when the earthquake struck.
El Cid Vacations Club treats all of its guests like family, but when something so damaging directly impacts the people of Mexico and affects a large portion of the timeshare community, El Cid Resorts puts all of its efforts forward to provide some sort of relief to those who desperately need it during their time of need.
