Blue Haven Resort and Marina, the first luxury “adventure resort” in Turks and Caicos, officially grand opened the weekend of December 6. The resort, quietly tucked away in the Leeward side of Providenciales, features 35 suites and 16 premier guest rooms, and is the first and only resort in the destination with its own marina.

As the “Gateway to the true Turks and Caicos Islands,” Blue Haven Resort and Marina provides the ideal vacation destination for outdoor and water sports enthusiasts. With its premier location nearby the world’s third largest barrier reef, which parallels the Turks and Caicos archipelago, guests of Blue Haven have access to top scuba diving, deep sea and fly-fishing spots just minutes away by boat.

Turks and Caicos is also a top destination for kite boarding. As part of the nearly month long grand-opening celebration, Blue Haven will be the official welcome resort for the Atlantic Kiteboarding Challenge, whereby a team of six international kiteboarders is attempting the first ever trans-Atlantic crossing by kiteboard. The team, which departed from the Canary Islands November 20, is expected to land at the Blue Haven Resort beach around December 16.

Suites and premier guest rooms at Blue Haven range from 600 to 2,650 square feet. Interior designs feature two types of styles, including crisp whites with bright pops of color or classic dark wood with accents of cream reminiscent of a more nautical feel. All one-, two- and three-bedroom suites offer private terraces overlooking the marina and ocean and feature fully-equipped deluxe kitchens. All accommodations include bespoke bath amenities, premium HD flat screen TVs with cable channels, complimentary WiFi and more.

The state-of-the-art 78 slip marina berths yachts up to 220 feet and features an onsite immigration service providing ease of access to guests arriving from international waters. Short and long term boat and yacht charters can be reserved through Blue Haven’s guest services department.

Culinary enthusiasts will delight in world-class, yet laid back dining at the signature, open-air restaurant, Fire & Ice. Here, a new breed of experiential dining, focusing on the flavors and spices of the Caribbean, is served in a setting that celebrates two earthly elements, fire and ice. Additional indoor and alfresco dining may be found at Salt Bar & Grill, a casual eatery located at the marina serving classic pub fare infused with locally sourced items. The Market, a store and café, offers guests a variety of homemade cuisine, stocked picnic baskets, groceries, wines and beers, as well as sundry items.

The spa at Blue Haven houses two treatment rooms where an array of body and facial treatments may be enjoyed après outdoor adventures. Additionally, the resort offers guests complimentary access to its on-site 24-hour fitness center plus beachside activities, including horseshoe courts, beach volleyball, chess, an oceanfront infinity pool with swim up bar and a stretch of fully-serviced white sand beach dotted with cozy chaise lounges and hammocks.

Blue Haven’s scenic location surrounded by aqua blue water and luxurious yachts provides the perfect backdrop for destination weddings where nuptials can be exchanged in the waterfront gazebo, on the beach, or on the breathtaking 2,000 square-foot ocean view patio that graces the resort’s penthouse suite. A wedding coordinator will be on-site to assist in arranging seamless ceremonies and receptions. With the Resort’s ultimate privacy and stunning natural environment close to private beaches and uninhabited cays, it is literally a honeymooner’s haven.

A conference center is also on hand for corporate and incentive retreats. The facility accommodates groups of up to 100.

Rates at Blue Haven Resort and Marina start from $300 per night.
