From Herding Reindeer To A Northern Lights Weekend Break – Taber Holidays Launches 2012/13 Winter Programme

New itineraries include:

Finland – ‘White Footprint’ – From £1885pp –Based in Mounio, this six-night activity tour is an exciting exploration of Finnish Lapland. It features a day spent as a reindeer herder where guests can learn how to catch these magnificent creatures with a Lappish Lasso and test their reindeer driving skills on a sled drive through the snow-covered forest. Also included is a two-day husky safari with a night in a wilderness hut, and a full-day snowmobile tour. The snowmobiles used are specially fitted with fuel economic engines omitting a third of the emissions as compared to other twostroke engines. Plus for every holiday booked, a donation of 50 Euros is made to save the old forests of Muonio National Park. Prices start from £1885pp and include flights, transfers, accommodation, all equipment and specialist clothing and full board. Departs Sundays from 25 November 2012 to 5 April 2013.
