At the end of the day over a traditional dinner with the Gitga’at community discover the legends of their fascinating First Nations culture. Then drop anchor to break out the inflatable slide and dive into soothing hot springs.

Wilderness Ice Safari in Canada’s Arctic Kingdom
Experience endless days of the Arctic spring on a wilderness safari expedition to see the narwhals and polar bears of Sirmilik National Park on Baffin Island. Fly from Ottawa in a private Twin Otter bush plane over Hudson Bay before travelling across the wilderness by snowmobile and Qamutik, a traditional Inuit sledge, to base camp on the edge of the ice floes. During spring the ice floes are teeming with wildlife. With experienced Arctic guides seek polar bears, kayak down spectacular untouched fjords and for the more adventurous, snorkel with the pods of mystical tusked narwhal. These inquisitive whales often approach snorkellers, swimming to within 3 meters beneath and while on their backs to take a quick look before circling below and away. By boat see walrus, enormous bowhead whales, hike to Bylot Island’s bird cliffs with thousands of migrating birds and snowmobile to historic Inuit sites. Then returning to the warmth of the safari-style camp where your private chef prepares a delicious supper venison under the midnight sun.
