Pronghorn Club & Resort, a luxury resort and golf community in Central Oregon, announced today that golf instructor Tim Mahoney has entered an agreement to lead the instructional programs through The Troon Golf Academy at Pronghorn. Mahoney, who serves as the Director of Education for Troon Golf, has taught in the national and international arena for more than 27 years and has been ranked as one of America’s “Top 100 Teachers” by Golf Magazine since 1997 and one of the “50 Greatest Teachers” by Golf Digest for several years.
“I’m thrilled to get to spend my summer at Pronghorn enhancing an already impressive and well-respected golf operation,” said Mahoney, who spends the winter season at Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ. “Pronghorn offers two of the most stunning golf courses and one of the best practice facilities I’ve ever seen.”
Mahoney’s teaching philosophies were honed working with some of America’s most well respected instructors, including Chuck Cook, Jim Flick, Peter Kostis and Paul Runyan. He’s dedicated his career to teaching amateurs and professional golfers, including Billy Mayfair, Tom Kite, Pat Hurst, Payne Stewart and former world #1 player, David Duval.[member]
