Murrays Snow Express

June 30, 2012

Transport specialists, Murrays, who operate a comprehensive schedule of luxury coach services between Sydney and Canberra, and Canberra and Sydney, on a daily basis, has just introduced an exciting series of snow packages for the winter season.

Departing from the centre of Sydney at 1.00am on Saturdays and Sundays throughout July and August, 2012, you arrive at the snowfields of Thredbo or Perisher, to enjoy a full day of skiing or snowboarding. Murrays new express snow service is via Canberra, so you may also pick up the connection here at 5.00am, and head directly to the snowfields. A safe, superbly comfortable coach is organized to transfer you back to Sydney by late evening on the same day.

Thredbo Snowfields Skier and Snowboard day packages are $246 per person for an adult, $216 per person for a child. They include luxury return coach travel transfers from Sydney, equipment hire, entry to Kosciusko National Park, lift passes. A day return coach fare only, is also offered for $151 and includes entry to Kosciusko National Park.

Perisher Snowfields Skier day packages are $242 per person, for an adult or child, and once more include the return luxury coach travel from Sydney, equipment hire, a lift pass – and also a return Skitube Pass with entry to Kosciusko National Park. Perisher Snowfields Snowboard day packages feature the same inclusions and are $280 per person, adult or child. A day return coach fare only is also available for $144.

Murrays has a heritage of more than four decades of experience providing safe, reliable coach transport in Australia. The company also offers limousine services.

Thredo Alpine Resort in New South Wales features over four hundred and eighty hectares of skiable terrain with Australasia’s longest ski run, the 5.9km Super Trail. Twelve chairlifts and two rope tows deposit skiers and boarders across the mountain, which features the most vertical lift in Australia (621 metres). Terrain is divided into sixteen percent beginner, sixty seven percent intermediate and seventeen percent advanced with numerous terrain parks and the largest jump in the southern hemisphere each September for the One Hit Wonder Event. A thriving village offers a buzzing après ski scene.

The ski-in ski-out village of Perisher is home to the largest ski resort in Australia. A huge 1,245 hectares of largely intermediate terrain is accessed by forty seven lifts and rope tows capable of transporting over fifty thousand skiers per hour. Perisher is made up of seven mountain peaks with a vertical rise of three hundred and fifty plus metres and the Torah Bright Super Pipe for snowboarders and skiers. Two hundred and seventy one snow guns ensure season long skiing.
