Passengers are now able to check flight schedules, get real-time arrival and departure updates and information about visiting Sydney Airport with a new iPhone app and Sydney Airport’s official Facebook page.
“We want to make it easier for the 36 million passengers that use the airport every year and this app will mean all the information is at your fingertips,” Sydney Airport chief executive Kerrie Mather said.
“Sydney Airport’s iPhone app is fed directly by our Flight Information Display System, so checking departure and arrival information will be as if you’re looking at one of the departures and arrivals boards in the terminals.
“If you’re catching a flight from T1 International or T2 Domestic, find out what check-in counter to go to before you go to the airport, or if you’re picking up a loved one from the airport, now you can subscribe to a flight and get an alert pushed to your phone the moment the plane lands.
