To Rome And Beyond: Cultural Tours In Italy With Andante Travels
February 16, 2012Unforgettable journeys devised by the experts in archaeological travel. This Spring Andante Travels is running a new programme of seven Italian Cultural Tours. These tours offer a comprehensive introduction to Italian history and culture through the ages: from the monumental splendours of Imperial Rome, to the exuberant baroque architecture of 17th century Apulia.
Every tour is conceived, planned and guided by experts: working professors, lecturers and authors who have spent their working lives immersed in the study of Italian archaeology. The Guide Lecturers are often able to arrange special access to rarely-seen or private site and monuments.
“Everything was taken care of and we could just enjoy the experience. If we had travelled independently we would have missed out on such a lot, especially those bits not on the normal tourist routes.” Guest describing her tour to Pompeii in 2011.
