Walking Holidays In The French Alps

Adventures in the Alps Launches 2012 Programme of Walking Holidays.

27th January 2012; Adventures in the Alps launches their 2012 walking holiday programme. From a refuge tour through the Vanoise National Park to visiting land artist, Andy Goldsworthy’s art works in the Verdon Gorge region; the programme offers a wide range of walking holidays.

The 2012 programme includes;

Verdon Gorge Walking Tour; 23rd – 29th June 2012

Discover the rugged limestone scenery of Haute Provence, a landscape of rocky hills and ‘maquis’, and trek through the famous Verdon Gorge, following historic trails. You will pass ancient hamlets, deserted villages, learn about the flora and fauna of the area as well as have a chance to see the famous Griffon Vulture of the region.

Goldsworthy Walking Tour; 30th June – 6th July 2012

Famous Land Artist, Andy Goldsworthy, has created a series of works of art positioned amongst the stunning landscape of this region. Many of the works are nestled within renovated refuges, formerly abandoned buildings until they were restored by Andy and his team. Join our guide, Pip Line on this tour of Alpes de Haute Provence and the art work this summer.
