Explore Increases Polar Offering In 2012/13 Polar Adventures Brochure

January 25, 2012

Adventure travel specialist, Explore, has launched its new 2012/13 Polar Adventures brochure today. Over the past year, Explore has received increased demand for polar experiences following the airing of the BBC’s popular documentary series ‘Frozen Planet’. With demand expected to rise further into 2012 as the 100 year anniversary of Captain Scott’s expedition to the South Pole is marked, Explore has increased its offering with 19 new itineraries. In addition, discounts of up to 30% are available on featured tours*.

The brochure features three new ships. Explore welcomes the M/V Ortelius, M/V Antarctic Dream and S/V Noorderlicht to its collection. With a total of five different vessels now on offer, the ships have their own unique features but are all small and manoeuvrable and have ice class classifications which allow them to travel safely through remote polar regions. All ships have a warm and friendly atmosphere, and for those looking for a hands-on experience, the new S/V Noorderlicht, which carries only 20 passengers, offers customers the unique experience of getting involved with the sailing duties.

With a total of 34 itineraries now on offer, Explore offers the very best opportunities for customers to spot amazing wildlife and see fantastic landscapes. All Explore voyages include Zodiac excursions and shore landings, and many have optional activities available, including ice camping, photography workshops, snowshoeing and trekking.
