Regent Focuses on China Expansion With Senior Development Appointment
Luxury hospitality group Regent Hotels & Resorts announces the appointment of Cai Shuo as Vice President Development for China, responsible for expanding the Regent brand in the powerful Chinese market. The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) predicts China will become the world’s leading inbound tourism destination by 2015.
Cai’s 27 years of hospitality experience includes appointments with The Great Wall Sheraton Hotel Beijing, Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific, Millennium & Copthorne Hotels and Resorts, the Longement Hotels Management Company Limited and most recently as Vice President of Business Development (China) for Pan Pacific Hotels Group.
Founded in the 1970′s, Regent Hotels & Resorts was one of the first Asian-based global hospitality groups to be established. Regent returns to its Asian ownership roots and China is an essential element of the future growth strategy of the brand.
