January 9, 2012

Lifehouse Country Spa Resort in Thorpe-le-Soken won the award for Best Large Hotel at the Essex Tourism awards last night on the 13 October 2011, which showcased the high quality attractions and accommodation that Essex has to offer. The Large Hotel award, was sponsored by KPMG, with the Waltham Abbey Marriott and the Best Western Atlantic Hotel, Chelmsford recognised as the runners-up.

Only an 80 minute journey from London and a ten minute drive from the pretty beach town of Frinton, Lifehouse offers a unique, life-enriching experience that is tailor-made for every guest.

Marco Truffelli, Managing Director at Lifehouse Country Spa Resort said about the win; “Our most important asset is our people: the genuine and caring team who looks after our members and guests make Lifehouse unique. This award is a tribute to their loyalty, commitment and dedication. Since opening, less than a year ago, Lifehouse has welcomed more than 20,000 guests and administered over 32,000 treatments. Lifehouse Country Spa Resort is committed to deliver an enriching experience to its guests and this award is a tribute to our first, already loyal guests, and for our future.”

Mark Prince, Director of KPMG, who judged the Best Large Hotel category, commented on Lifehouse; “Lifehouse Country Spa Resort is an excellent hotel with a focus on guest experience and satisfaction, with attention to detail. Set amidst historic grounds, the hotel now mixes contemporary architecture with the remains of the old manor house. Lifehouse offers a wealth of facilities, including a spa and fine dining. Staff in all areas of the business are trained to be able to answer customers’ needs.”
