New Year Late Availability In Three Of The Most Beautiful Corners Of England

December 16, 2011

There are still some rooms available for a hotel break over New Year for couples or small groups of friends or family in three of the finest quality independently-owned hotels in England.

In the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, The Coniston Hotel nestles in 1,400 acres of countryside, with its own 24-acre lake. The hotel and estate, which offers a wide range of activities including shooting, Land Rover off-road driving, archery and falconry is the ideal destination to enjoy a lovely New Year in a traditional country setting, and many rooms have superb views and private terraces or balconies overlooking the lake. Two night New Year Breaks at The Coniston Hotel (tel. 01756 748080) are priced from £295 per person in a Classic room, and £345pp in a Luxury room.

Further south, The Cottage in the Wood is a beautiful country house hotel in the lovely Malvern Hills, and handy for the Cotswolds, with what has been described as “the best view in England”. This is Elgar Country, and the historic cities of Worcester and Gloucester are just a short drive away. Two night New Year Breaks at the Cottage in the Wood (01684 588860) can be taken either 30th and 31st December, or 31st December and 1st January, and are priced from £295 per person.
