Greece Is The Word For 2012
December 15, 2011Research conducted by the UK’s leading online travel agent On the Beach shows that Greece is the best value holiday destination for summer 2012.
Following the financial crisis in Greece, many hoteliers across the country have dramatically reduced their prices in order to attract the all important British holidaymaker.
The popular island of Santorini shows the best value with summer 2012 holiday prices down a massive 27% on the previous year. Kefalonia, another popular Greek island also offers great value next year with summer prices down on average 17%.
Prices for holidays in Spain, a firm favourite amongst British holidaymakers are also lower than the previous summer. Summer holidays in popular destinations such as Tenerife and Alicante are more than 20% cheaper than holidays in 2011.
