NORTH AMERICA Toronto’s WinterCity Festival runs January 29 to February 11. The award-winning festival
returns for its seventh year, offering a city-wide celebration of culture, creativity and cuisine. The city will be bursting
with culinary experiences, fantastic free entertainment at Nathan Phillips Square and a showcase of Toronto’s vibrant
arts scene. Family-friendly events and attractions include a spectacular fire installation, gravity-defying aerial dance
performances, ice sculptures and themed skating parties. In addition, the Warm Up Series lets you head indoors for
five special performances and events. And indulge in great food at great value with the ever-popular Winterlicious
Prix Fixe Promotion, in which 150 of Toronto’s restaurants offer threecourse prix fixe menus at one of three price point categories (reservations are recommended). All events run rain, shine … or even snow!

ASIA/PACIFIC Where better to celebrate the Chinese New Year Celebration than Hong Kong? Come welcome the Year of the Tiger February 8 through 11. Festivities include flamboyant flower markets, a spectacular night parade, floats displays, stage performances and lively sporting events, plus plenty of other attractions. And don’t miss the
free 2010 Lunar New Year Fireworks Display on February 15 at 8:00 p.m. in Victoria Harbour (there’s a viewing area between Central and Tsim Sha Tsui). You’ll join thousands upon thousands of people who will be lining both sides of the water cheering, celebrating and partying as they say farewell to the Year of the Ox. Want a different perspective on the New Year’s celebrations? Go on a Fireworks Cruise and enjoy the show while sailing around worldfamous Victoria Harbour.
